porte du binnenhof
2021
flamework, gilding, cold assembly
antique etching by R. J. de la Haye (BE) from 1900, glass, goldleaf, frame
38 x 32 x 2.5cm

On May 11, 2021, the Dutch government seated at the Binnenhof in The Hague, relaxed the lockdown. Among other things, brothels were allowed to open. Museums, theater, music venues, culture houses, in short the art and culture sector remained closed. A slap in the face which I personally felt very strongly about and which brought about this piece of work. 3 Weeks after the sex industry, after resistance througout art and culture, tomorrow june 5th, 2021, the art and culture sector can open its doors again.
